Direction and instructions for events

The information on this page provides instructions for participants in Espacio Nos events. It is important to read the information carefully and review it closer to the event date, as it may change in the future.

DATE AND TIMES:

The date and time of the event you’ll be attending are listed on our website (Events) where you registered. If you successfully reserved your spot, you should have received an automatic confirmation email with a reminder of the date and time. If you have any questions, please email us at espacionos@gmail.com

PUNCTUALITY:

Out of respect for everyone involved, we ask that you arrive 5–10 minutes before the event starts, as we begin the program on time.

We consider any delay of more than 15 minutes to be a no-show. Given the nature of the event, we cannot allow you to enter once you’re more than 15 minutes late, as you would miss crucial parts of the event. Your spot will be considered canceled with no option for a refund or rescheduling.

ADDRESS AND DIRECTIONS: (Subject to change; always check this information before heading to the event)

WHAT TO BRING / MATERIALS (WORKSHOPS):

-Comfortable clothing (we have a changing room and bathroom) and anything else that makes you feel comfortable: a cushion, your own blanket, etc.

-Notebook

-Your own water, snacks, and food

-Your own ropes (if you have them)

RESERVED MATERIALS:

We will hand out the materials purchased with your Shibari Intro spot at the beginning of class.

We have shared materials available for anyone who needs them.

If you bring your own ropes, they must be: 7 / 7.5 / 8 meters long, 5 / 5.5 / 6 millimeters thick, and made of jute or hemp. Other materials are not accepted.

If you wish to purchase ropes once the class has begun, we offer a discount on natural ropes that same day when you attend the workshop. We accept only cash and/or Bizum. We cannot guarantee that we will have enough ropes in stock for purchases that are not part of the course package.

MEALS/BREAKS (WORKSHOPS):

For intensive workshops lasting 5 hours or more, there will be a 30-40-minute break for lunch. For workshops lasting less than 5 hours, the break will be shorter, between 15 and 20 minutes. We recommend that you bring your own lunch or snack to avoid wasting time. There are several places to eat near the venue, but we cannot guarantee that they will be open or that their hours will align with the event’s break schedule.

Social events, such as the Shibari Soirée or Shibari Salón, do not have scheduled breaks; breaks are at the discretion of each participant.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE (EVERYONE):

As a general rule, we expect all participants to help keep the space clean and well-maintained. We always start with a clean and organized space, so it’s important that everyone who uses the space and participates in events takes care of it.

If you bring food or drinks from outside, please remember to throw away your trash; do not leave disposable cups lying around the room, etc. We do not allow cups, mugs, or bottles without lids in the room during the workshop. There is a break area with a table that we use for eating or snacking.

Be sure to do a final check before leaving and make sure you don’t leave anything behind in the room. We are not responsible for any losses in the space. Keep an eye on your belongings!

Let us know if anything is missing or if something in the room breaks.

HYGIENE:

We ask that all participants be mindful of the intimate nature of Shibari and the fact that we are sharing a common enclosed space. For this reason, we ask that you take extra care with personal hygiene before and during the events in which you participate.

HEALTH:

If you have severe symptoms such as a high fever, malaise, or a severe cough, please do not come to class or the workshop. We will consider allowing you to attend another session once you are feeling better, provided you present a medical report or proof of illness/infection. If you have a mild cough without other significant symptoms, we ask that you please wear a mask during the event to prevent the possible spread of any virus.

This option is valid only for the Shibari Intro workshop through the November 2025 session. It is not valid for other events or after this period, and there will be no possibility of a refund for your spot.

Please respect these guidelines!
