Introduction to Shibari with Inma Sáez on Mondays in August.
Duration: 1:30 of classes each week, 6 hours in total of classes.
Cycle of 4 consecutive weeks in August (Monday 9, 16, 23, and 30).
Classes take place from 18:30 to 20:00.
Inma Saez offers a regular class every Monday of Introduction to Shibari, where the basic fundamentals of Shibari, anatomy, safety, negotiation, etc. will be taught from scratch.
The class can be attended as a couple or alone, the content of the class is suitable and designed to cover important basic needs for all roles: people who tie, people tied, people who self tie.
This regular continuing course offers the technical, theoretical and practical bases to begin to understand Shibari. During the class, we offer a line of studies as tools so that those who attend can develop themselves and have a structured foundation. The entire course is taught based on Japanese practice with a non-dogmatic, accessible and flexible methodology. Course originally designed by Pauline Massimo synthesizing almost a decade of experience with educators from Japan and other parts of the world, as well as influence and studies in other related changes.
- Historical context and evolution of Shibari.
-Keys to make the practice of Shibari more ethical: verification (vetting), negotiation, risk profile, etc.
-Ties and fundamental nodes (single and double column).
-Simple to complex frictions.
-Fluency and adaptation.
-Care for strings and other materials.
-Basic introduction to the anatomy of the bound body, common injury risks and how to mitigate them.
-Fluency exercises with the ropes, practical exercises at home and in class.
-Didactic material of written support, recommendations, references, consultations outside and after class.
Shibari is a practice of Japanese origin that needs to be understood and worked from many points that form it and that in a very positive way brings us diversity and complexity.
Therefore, the short format of regular classes is also adapted to those who attend it alone or as a couple and the continuous accompaniment ensures that knowledge is better established and evolution is progressive.
It is necessary to attend this class with comfortable clothes (you can change in space), and it is preferable to work with natural jute or hemp ropes. Those who want to attend classes and do not have strings yet, can request to borrow sanitized strings (they are not taken home).
If you are interested in obtaining your own strings, you can consult the organization / Espacio Nos.
This class is not available on individual schedules given its complexity, so the entire cycle can only be booked with the commitment to attend all of them during the reserved period (month). If you know that you cannot attend one or two classes, you can request recovery of the class by paying an extra, as long as the class recovers before the next one and thus the continued program is not lost.
Please read our terms and conditions carefully as we have a strict policy regarding exchanges and refunds.
